Optimizing Children’s Brain Development and Performance

Neuroscience shows the profound importance that early stimulation has on a child’s brain development. The experiences and mental stimulation that children receive during their first five years of life play a pivotal role in determining the extent to which their brains will develop, and the level at which their brains will perform.

Brain DevelopmentMultiple Intelligence Activities

KinderQ™ utilizes the Multiple Intelligences Model created by Dr. Howard Gardner to celebrate how each child is “smart”, and to provide activities and learning experiences that develop and strengthen each of the eight different kinds of intelligence:

  • Linguistic Intelligence (Word Smart)
  • Logical-Mathematical Intelligence (Number/Reasoning Smart)
  • Spatial Intelligence (Picture Smart)
  • Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence (Body Smart)
  • Interpersonal Intelligence (People Smart)
  • Intrapersonal Intelligence (Self Smart)
  • Musical Intelligence (Music Smart)
  • Naturalist Smart (Nature Smart)
The MI Model is also used to present each lesson in a wide variety of ways in order to address and tap into each child’s particular learning style and strengths.

Brain Gym® Activities

Children start each day by taking part in Brain Gym® activities. This program involves a series of physical exercises and movements that readies children for optimal learning; it develops their brains’ neural pathways, and integrates the right and left brain for whole brain learning. The program also increases:

  • Mental processing skills
  • Memory, attention and focus
  • Communication skills and language development
  • Visual and auditory skills
  • Organization skills
  • Academic abilities (reading, writing, math, test-taking)
  • Physical coordination and balance

Brain Quest® Activities

These fun activities and games increase children's memory, reasoning, comprehension, and verbal skills.
